Easy Middle Eastern Green Beans
Looking for an easy and colorful side dish to add to any holiday meal? Well, look no further. This sauteed veggie recipe is from The Diabetes Forecast magazine. I don't like green bean casserole but I do like fresh green beans roasted in the oven or sauteed in a skillet. This easy side dish is ready to eat in 20 minutes or less. All you need is 5 ingredients and a large nonstick skillet.
Ingredients
- 2 tsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 8 oz fresh green beans ends trimmed
- 1 cup grape tomatoes
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp sea salt
Instructions
-
Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the green beans and tomatoes, cover, and cook until the green beans are tender yet crisp and the tomatoes are fully softened about 10 minutes. Toss with tongs a couple of times throughout the cooking.
-
Sprinkle the vegetables with the cinnamon and salt. Toss to combine, and then serve.
