This is the first year I’ve selected a few “things” I think would be perfect gifts for the holidays. I have tried and tasted all of these products except for one. The product I haven’t tried is a cookbook by Maya Feller because it’s not available until January 24, 2023. Pre-order your copy now like I did.
I wanted to share these delightful products with you so you can buy these items for your friends, spouse, favorite teacher, and registered dietitian—anyone who matters a great deal to you. Guess what? All items are under $40!
Favorite Thing for an Upset Tummy
Tummy drops, created by a gastroenterologist, are similar to lozenges to soothe an upset tummy. A natural way to assist with symptoms common in nausea, upset stomachs, motion sickness, morning sickness, VR sickness, & for other digestive complaints. There are lots of flavors to choose from—I prefer peppermint or ginger. A holiday pack is available now—72 drops for $19.99. Tummy drops are organic, gluten-free, and kosher-free. I don’t travel anywhere without my tummy drops.
Favorite Cookbook
Maya Feller is a friend, registered dietitian, author, and nationally recognized nutrition expert. Maybe you have seen her talk about nutrition on Good Morning America. Well, she has written a cookbook titled Eating From Our Roots: 80+ Healthy Home-Cooked Favorites from Cultures Around the World. This cookbook takes you on a culinary trip around the globe with 80+ delicious, healthy recipes for heritage dishes embraced by diverse groups of people living in the United States. I can’t wait! I pre-ordered my copy from Target but you can pre-order here for $30.
Favorite Cooking Oils & Vinegar
I was gifted a set of Old Town extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar when I was a media spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The flavor of these oils and vinegar is aromatic and rich. Only high-quality ingredients are used to produce their products. I haven’t used anything since to flavor dishes. I recommend getting the Sicilian Lemon White Balsamic Vinegar Condimento and Tuscan Herb Infused Olive Oil. Both are $19.
Favorite protein bars
I’m a snacker and when I’m on the go I want a protein bar that’s tasty, and satisfying, but low in added sugars. I want something good and delicious. Zing bars are the perfect fit. I’m wild about these bars! Created by registered dietitians, these bars are low in sugar, and high in fiber, with low glycemic carbohydrate carbs for steady long-lasting energy. I enjoy eating the dark chocolate peanut bar. A box of 12 bars is $30–$2.50 a bar.
Favorite Magazine for Recipes
Call me biased. I selected Allrecipes magazine because I contribute to the FoodRx column. Nevertheless, this magazine consistently blows me away with its mouth-watering recipes, food-related content, and heart-warming stories about people making a difference. I gave my mom an Allrecipes magazine subscription and she is inspired to cook different recipes often. A 1-year subscription is $17.99 however look out for half-off deals.
Happy Holidays!
